Natural beauty

The Bohemian-Moravian Borderlands region not only offers unique historical monuments or technical points of interest, but also exquisite and untouched nature. The hilly landscape with thick forests, romantic valleys and sandstone rocks is an ideal place for relaxation or, on the contrary, active holidays spent on a bicycle or hiking.

An unforgettable experience is a visit to the nature reserve Toulovcovy maštale. The region, where according to legends of yore the thieving knight Toulovec was hidden, is formed by a labyrinth of rocks of various shapes and names. Furthermore, the tourist region of the Bohemian-Moravian Borderlands also includes a part of the protected landscape area Žďárské vrchy.

You can savour the beauty of the landscape on the border of Bohemia and Moravia better by ascending one of the observation towers and viewing points, situated in the region.

If you would also like to learn some interesting information on the natural wonders or history of this region while visiting the Bohemian-Moravian Borderlands, then do not forget to take a walk along nature trails, of which there are several in the tourist area of the towns Litomyšl, Svitavy, Polička, Moravská Třebová and Vysoké Mýto.
