You will come to the region of All Good Compatriots when visiting the town of Bystré situated among the hills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The name of one of the oldest wooden buildings in the town dating back from 1723 refers to the local patriot and shoemaker Jan Brtoun who became one of the characters of the novel Na Librově gruntě (At Libra's Homestead) by Tereza Nováková. Today Brtoun's cottage houses the mini museum of folk art and shoemaker's craft which used to be the most widespread craft in the area in the 19th century.
