The beginning of summer and the start of the cultural season, this is the newly established tradition of a festival of good food, drink and fun in Svitavy. The organizers called it Svitaverna.
The Jan Palach Park behind the newly renovated Langer Villa offers its arms to all gourmets and children, which is truly unforgettable. The menu is varied, there are dishes from Czech and international cuisine, raw food, the brave can choose between dishes from the insect kingdom. The sweet spot is represented by wonderful desserts, trdelniks or ice cream. Home-made lemonades, teas, coffee are used to drink. All portions are tasting so that visitors can taste as many dishes as possible.
The food festival is accompanied by a rich program. Children and adults dance to live music, theater performances are prepared and little cooks can conjure up some goodies in the children's kitchen. Part of the festival is a cooking show, and it closes with an open-air film screening in the evening.
